5H dial trouble

I just took apart and re assembled a 5H dial. The timing is perfect. The only problem is that it is hard to wind up. What did I do wrong?

It's the position of the main gear on the spring.  You have to lift the gear, rotate it a bit , and set it back down again.  It's tricky, but you have to wind the gear to test the resistance.  Lift and reset the gear until you get it just right, and then bolt it back down.
