I am planning to put in place an ITT 500 ringer inside my NE2500 multi-line (which has no ringer) is that possible?

I don't see any reason why not. As far as I know, even though it's a multi-line phone, it should still be able to use a standard ringer.

ITT ringers are interchangeable with WE/NE ringers.

thanks Ben, I will try that

I put ringer from a Stromberg Carlson 2500 ( I'm not sure if that's the right Model number, it's the push button version ), into a 500 I had with no ringer. It mounted right in with no problem.

I concur with my esteemed colleges, this ought to work.  I've even put a Princess ringer in a 354 case for a temporary fix when my original ringer went belly up and it worked fine.
