[img]It's a long shot but me and my better half purchased an Australian 802, it was released in 1979 and is very similar to the British 746. Really need help in converting it to work in the UK.
Any help would be great, below is an image of the phone in question.
Regards
Matt
If your phone has an Aus 6 pin plug and 6 way cord:
Conductor Colour | Aus Plug Pin No | Normal Function | UK Equiv |
White | 2 | A or + Line | Line jack plug 2 or Red |
Red | 3 | Bell In | Line jack plug 3 or Blue |
Orange | 4 | Bell Out | Line jack plug 5 or white |
Blue | 6 | B or - Line | Line Jack 5 or white |
You will need to open the phone, look at the resistance of the bell coils, and whatever the difference is between the bell coils and 4,000 ohms, insert a resistor of the next higher value in series with the bell coils.
