Cleaning WE Dials, Or ?

When cleaning a dial that has all of the electrical stuff removed, is it O.K. to clean them in warm soapy water, as long as you blow dry them out real good, and immediately lube them ?

I believe Dennis has a album somewhere with the re-assembly procedure of a 7A, C or D. I don't like to wash them in soapy water unless there are totally disassembled. The main shaft is steel and if water gets there and it's not removed, it could corrode it.

They are very easy to take apart and put together. Just play with an old one to learn how to overhaul them.

If not, there is always Steve in AZ.
