Galion Label Ring

Can any one please give me a heads up on how to remove the number plate on my 12-50 Galion?

She works after Black (ringer) to L2 and Red (ringer) to Slate (or Yellow) off the Condenser of the Johnson bar in the phone.  She has talk battery, Butt set called the wife and she said that the 10-49 TX sound good (thank God) and rings. Since I have the sticky dial syndrome I need to pry off the dial plate.  But before I set my KS screwdriver to the thing I decided to ask for help.

Can any body tell me how that thing slips off?  Looks to me like it is an old AE dial versus the 5H or 6H W.E.

Then there's the sanding of the bakelite.  Did I see right?  Is it 000 steel wool with NOXON?

Is the dial marked Automatic Electric on the back? If so,
