These are a couple of photos I got some years back from Allan Gagnon. These were unpublished until I had copies put in the TCI newsletter in 2008. The gentleman's aunt's husband's father worked for AGB as a livery man, and these were in his personal collection, making these a rare glimpse into the Bell family.

Both photos are taken at Bell's home in Cape Breton, the first showing Alexander and Mabel Gardiner Hubbard his wife, and the second taken by the same employee at the funeral of Alexander Graham Bell.

I thought you might find them interesting.

Bell's final resting place was his home in Cape Breton, which he considered his home: "I have traveled the globe. I have seen the Canadian and American Rockies, the Andes and the Alps and the highlands of Scotland, but for simple beauty, Cape Breton outrivals them all." A. G. Bell speaking of the estate near Baddeck, C.B.

His death occurred August 2nd, 1922, at his estate, Beinn Bhreagh, Cape Breton. The funeral took place on August 4th, 1922 at Beinn Bhreaqh at sunset on the crest of Beinn Breach Mountain, overlooking the beautiful Bras d'Or Lakes.

I still need to frame a couple of copies of these for the museum - I always intended to, but just never got around to it!
