D/P:

I wonder if you are familiar with this locomotive. It only has 3 million miles in the odometer.

Bill Cahill

OOOwow!
Would it fit in my back yard, and, would they give free delivery?

Does any one know what model that train was on I love Lucy that they rode home from hollywood?

Jorge;
Before I saw the second photo I was going to guess Canadian Pacific. Marx had a train very similar to it called the C/P 3000.I love that era of Train.
Was the train in I Love Lucy The Hiawatha ? Or Maybe Daylight Special.

I don't think the one in the Hollywood episode was a named train. Best I can tell, it was just a Union Pacific EMD E8 hauling some aluminum streamliners.

D/P:

You are right, it is the 1937 Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson Locomotive.

It is located in a museum near where I work. Best of all, the museum entrance is free.

There are lots of cool antique cars, and I think the manufacturers borrowed the colors from Western Electric soft plastic phones to paint these cars.

Can you guess the color codes?

Kenny:

The top color is a tough one. I think the next is like Mediterranean Blue and the last is Oxford Gray.

Now this one is almost identical to Pastel Yellow or -56. Tom will like this picture. The sides are real wood.

The second Cadillac is Mediterranean Blue, no doubt.  The third Cadillac looks like light olive grey (-49) to me.  The first one looks like "gunmetal," which was a common color for luxury cars in the 1930s.  I can't think of a similar WE/NE color, though.

Remco:

I think this museum is a large car museum that happens to have one locomotive.

Bingster:

That is an interesting name for a color: Olive Gray.

1. Looks like Aqua Blue or Forget me not (for AE fans)
2. WE or AE red
3. WE Light Gray. This 1946 Bug is interesting. Notice the back window's rib reinforcement.
4. This Caddy is painted in Mahogany Brown. Even with a 16 cylinder engine, it didn't develop a lot of power, if measured by today's standards.

I like that red 32, sharp looking hot-rod.
