Indeed it is an SC 1211, and a very cool phone!

Dare I actually say "art deco"?

Too bad someone painted it, but it still looks great.

They have some design similarities to the Kellogg 9917.

But in the cool deco-esque wall phone department, personally I'll probably just have to stick with the common AE 50 for affordability.

But hey, ya never know what you might find. Good luck in your hunt for a 1211! 8)

That emerald green one is even better!

I just noticed that the emerald 1211 on OPW has a different handset than the white one on ebay.  The OPW handset has a spit cup.  I much prefer the "E1" style handsets, very elegant.

That would be a wonderful one to own.  Good luck to you and when you get one, be sure to let us know.  I actually know a guy who has one, and I am sure his is not for sale.   :(

Kidphone,

I realize that the price is quite high, but there is also an option to make an offer.  I thought that you might offer the seller whatever it is really worth and see if he/she accepts it.

Larry....For todays going rate for tough to find phones, this is probably an accurate asking price. One just went a few weeks a go for double this price. Although, the original had an outside terminal receiver. This is also missing its mouthpiece. With my youngest a Senior in colledge and just getting accepted to the Master's program next year; I have NO phone budget. Someone with $$$ should scoop this....Kidphone

A mint 302, just like Perry's:

Great colors for the 302 in 1949:

I like the Galion too:

Kellogg 900:

Candlesticks are awesome, and I'd like one, but I'd have to find one for $20 at an estate sale or something for it to happen.

My holy grail is an ivory 354. I'd want it in either "7 or 8 out of 10" condition. I don't want it to be perfect because I don't want to end up being the one who destroyed an excellent ivory 354 (not to mention that I probably couldn't afford perfection anyway), but I'd want it to look decent, gently used, and in working condition. I want to be the one who gives the just slightly-cracked or chipped shell a good home and many more years of reaching out and touching someone. :)

There are so many great phones I don't know where to start! All color soft 500's, all color 302's. Transparent 500 & 302.
And I agree with Kenny, all color Mushroom phones!
I just missed a Black one last night on eBay. If I had been paying attention at the end I might have bid more: 250694775786

HarrySmith ,
I had the black mushroom for 1.5 sec.  at the last also. Looked like a nice phone. Wonder who got it?
Sorry to bid against you. Kenny was having a fit for it!      stub
