No, that wasn't a quiz.  I mis-read Kenny's post and thought he was saying that he needed a dial for his AE40.  What he said is that he already got on.  In my misunderstanding, I was just asking what was wrong with the one he had.  Apparent nothing, and I need to learn to read a little slower

I am in the process of getting a old #card i took that off of an AE 90

Kenny, the number card you have on there in the picture above is OK. That's what most of the AE40s had on them when I was growing up in AE territory in the 1960s. It may or may not be quite as old as the phone, but it was the AE standard for years and years in some areas. I do have an AE50 with a black masked card on it that came on the phone. Below is a picture.
