AE40 dial plate removal...

Yes, It's me with another question;-D  Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove/replace a porcelain dial plate on an AE40?  I now own four of these phones!  Now It's truly an obsession!!

After you remove the finger wheel and other assorted hardware, there are two spring loaded grabs, each close to numerals 2 and 8, that you need to grab with a small needle nose pliers set to release the porcelain plate.

That should do it. The attached picture shows these grabs I am referring to. In this photo, they are shown at the 10 and 4 o'clock position.

I never documented this album, but you can see before and after pictures of my black AE40. Kind of neat, since it came from an old bank in Kansas City.

Thanks Jorge, beautiful phone...how did you get it so shiny?

I washed all plastics with hot water and soap, then polished it with Novus 2 and my trusty Ryobi RB60K polisher.
