Does anyone know what this button was made for?

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the phone, maybe?

What's the math?  80's plus 50 equals 30's.  Looks like a 302.

Just guessin'

It is a curious button. It uses the Edison mis-quote most often used. He really said "Mr. Watson, come here I want to see you." The added 2 Mr. Watson?s makes it appear to say Watson is no where to be found?

Well... The phone that became famous was introduced a little before 1876, I think.

So, maybe a 100th anniversary, because 1976+50=1926, and the 302 came out almost 10 years after that date.
