Was slightly perplexed to see this item listed as used in the summary page. On reading the listing I see it was "Only used once to repatriate a client from overseas."

One owner, low mileage, a bit odd but then again eBay has some strange offerings sometimes...

I just hope the 'few minor scratches on the side' are on the outside, not the inside....  :o

It sure would be a shame for the next occupant to contract some disease from the used coffin. LOL

So severe is Phoneitis, we can turn any subject into a phone related thread. 8)

Well, a few years ago when I was a kid, I remember seeing this thing come out of the wall and they would pull out a candle stick, then they would pull the cord again, it would go back in. I thought that was a really cool way to hide a phone.
More classy that those brass things that you would open to reveil a stick....

Could solve the housing problem in big cities. Somewhere to live and your funeral paid for.

Almost like those Japanese "pod" hotels, where you pretty much get something no bigger than a casket to sleep in...  ;D

Yes, these have been around for decades and they are all over Japan. They look to be basic, clean and neat quarters for staying one night or more and a lot of people can be accommodated in a relatively small space. They are called "Capsule Hotels" and the top 8 such hotels in Akihabara, Japan are listing in this article (pdf of that article attached for posterity).
