Hi All,

I recently acquired a really beautiful SC handset for a 1211 wall phone.  It's polishing up just great, but there's a snag:  I can't get the transmitter out of the bakelite handset!  And the cord has been cut (very likely due to the transmitter's refusal to budge) so I really need to get it out of there.  Does anyone have any tips on how do safely get them apart?

Thanks for reading and for any advice,

Tom Rinaldi, Rhinebeck, NY

The transmitter has threads so it has to be unscrewed.

Threaded ... why so it is!  Thank you kindly!  A little stubborn.  Took a pair of pliers, inserted into two of the holes in the front (very carefully) and turned counter-clockwise.  Like a dream.  Many thanks again,

-Tom.
