My First Try At Body Work

I have a 96 F-150 Eddie Bauer pickup and had a person with poor insurance change lanes and smash my drivers' front fender.  It also took out all of the lighting.  Fortunately it caused no further internal damage.  I had to perform the repairs myself and bought up all the new replacements for around 60 dollars.  I found a used front fender of the same color scheme for 75 dollars and managed to perform the replacement myself.  It took a full day to do it and it doesn't look too bad.

Looks good, maybe you should start doing body work.

Thanks, there was a couple of times that I thought I wasn't going to be able to get through with it, but I remembered seeing a few select applications of the pry bar and rubber mallet in the body shops I hung around as a kid.  That did the trick!

Very nice work! Good taste in trucks, too! ;)

Believe it or not, I thought about your signature line a few times when things got frustrating!

Looks good.

But you know what would really top it off? (Kidding, I like ford too.)

I have one of each. 1 Ford and 1 GMC :)

Nice units!  My other car is a '94 GT.

I got copies of the truck and Mustang's respective shop manual sets on CD/ROM.  They have been a big help in maintaining them.

Post a picture of your 94 GT. I'm always up for looking at another Mustang.

I have an '88 Ford F150; it's a nice truck, but I need to wait until I get my full driver's license before I can drive it! >:(

Good job on that repair.  I've done similar things by getting a fender or grille or whatnot from a self serve wreaker yard.  That's possibly my of that generation F150 body style, the Eddie Bauers are quite good looking.

Thanks,  This site has been a great help with my hunts for parts...
