Does anyone have the round flat insulator gaskets for candlestick transmitters or know where I can get some.

I have several transmitters that have cracking and deteriorating gaskets.

Thanks,
Gary

PM sent.

John,

I received the latest rubber, paper and cloth transmitter gaskets sets you sent this week and I installed a paper gasket and two rubber gaskets in two WE 229W transmitters that had badly deteriorated or completely missing gaskets.  I tested both transmitters with new gasket sets installed on a 20B desk stand and the voice transmission is loud and clear with both transmitters.

You are to be commended for the time and effort you put into creating the replacement gasket materials and sizes.  I believe you made seven prototype sets before you you were satisfied with the final set.

I enjoyed working with you and helping with the testing portion of your gasket development.

Thanks a lot,
Gary

Thank you Gary, glad it worked out for you.

Since I took the time, effort and cost to "create" these, I put them on eBay for anyone who needs them. I have 3 separate listings. Shipping is free, hence the "discount" on multiple kit orders

1 Kit:    http://www.ebay.com/itm/One-Candlestick-Transmitter-Washer-Restoration-Kit-2-Rubber-1-Paper-1-Cloth-/132159721452

2 Kits:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Two-Candlestick-Transmitter-Washer-Restoration-Kits-4-Rubber-2-Paper-2-Cloth-/132159723533
3 Kits:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Three-Candlestick-Transmitter-Washer-Restoration-Kits-6-Rubber-3-Paper-3-Cloth-/132159728646

All the washer details are in the listings.

I forgot to mention that I can knock off $1 on 1 kit, $1.50 on 2 kits and $2 on 3 kits, the eBay and PPal fees, by selling directly to members.

If interested, please send a PM.

Last post by me on this.

Having gotten the fabrication methods and costs down on these, I am dropping the price to $5 per kit with free shipping. That also makes it easier for me and buyers to handle eBay, It's now just one listing with multiple items available. This change should make it easier on everyone.

Direct sales to forum members by way of PM to would be $4.25 per kit with free shipping (less eBay and PPal fees).

Nice! I was using inner tubes from bicycle tires, and fiddling with compasses and xacto knives.  I just ordered a set.
