Anyone want to gamble $13 on a wall phone from China?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/antique-ericsson-wall-phone/282593278864
Seller has (0) feedback and no one has jumped at this in 12 or so hours. What a deal being passed up.
Dicey, throw $14 into the pot and see if you loose it or get a phone, right?
$13.17 BIN w/ free slow shipping. I would buy it but someone added a dial.

OK, I took the bait.
It's only $14. We'll see what I get in the mail..
I'll take some detail pictures when it arrives.
Excellent! keep us posted - I sent the Seller a question yesterday and have not heard back. My bet is the transaction will be cancelled.
If a genuine antique Ericsson phone actually arrives, I will be amazed.
Larry
I'm with Dave, it will probably be cancelled. You will get a message in poorly written English with some vague excuse for not shipping it.
Let us know if and when you get tracking info on the shipment.

If you get it you should post it in find of the month.

Will do

Did Dan F get the phone?
Depends on the definition of "get."
It was a BIN so he got the phone, paid his money but is still waiting to see if the will get the phone.
BTW: did everyone or anyone notice the condition of the phone was listed as "New?"
I noticed that, and was one of the questions I sent to the Seller - but got no response.
I have made the mistake of listing something as NEW. He does have zero feedback and obviously new to eBay or not so new to scamming....Doug
Here's another phone for sale from China. Notice how similar the seller names are - I suspect it's the same person.

Looks like a GPO "A-B" payphone, whether or not it's a genuine listing, who knows, I'm too wary of 0-feedback sellers offering low-priced goods, there's been a lot of that lately and the sellers usually end up being deleted...
Well, I gambled the $11 on this one. Keep you posted.

Did you get the phone, or what happened or is still happening? It's been 26 days so it may be a bit early to ask knowing stuff from the other side of the Pacific take to get here.
Is the order still in place is shipment? Delivered? Cancelled?
Curious minds who live in reality, with their feet on the ground, want to know . . .

Same questions.

Nothing from the Seller, and I can't complain to Ebay until Sept 27 - the estimated delivery date. I've seen several phones listed from various Chinese sellers with 0 feedback, and I've reported everyone one of them as fraudulent listings and had them removed. Thought I would save someone else the trouble of having to deal with this Chinese seller.
and I have to wait till Sept 22 before I can do anything.
We ought to have a guess-a-thon to cover all the things that could happen besides getting an as-pictured phone. I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt and say it will be kindling in a tyvek bag. :)
For all I know, they could be small plastic models of the real thing!
I wonder how many fake Ebay fronts one could put up to bait enough people to make some worthwhile loot? I can't imagine $14 is the be all and end all of this criminal enterprise.
Being that the expected delivery window is so large, the "seller" has plenty of time to abandon their account before their victims can complain to ebay. The "seller" will be nowhere to be found when ebay tries to charge them for the non-received item.
Larry
I'm still hoping on the good in people. As the buyer I hope he makes good.
Still waiting
I have opened a case with Ebay. Have to wait a few days.
I have also opened a case. Now the fun starts.

And I see the seller has a feed back rating of "-1" with one negative reply. I've never seen a negative rating before and never realized eBay rating is a running total (positive minus negative), or so it seems with the seller.

Can't wait to get updates on both of these, to see what eBay says and does.
I've seen negative ratings before, usually they end up with their accounts closed not long after hence there not being many to see, when I bought a Direct Line telephone from a scam-artist of a seller, they ended up with a -1 rating too before I went in for a refund and before I'd left any feedback...
Just got a refund from PayPal. :) I know that ebay took the hit for this one. >:( :(
I would have rather had the phone. These slimes should be vetted.
P.S.
After leaving feedback this guy also has a -1 rating.
