Dial-EZE Finger wheel inserts

This phone is on eBay now. Nothing particularly interesting about the phone itself, but I've never seen those finger wheel inserts before.

Guess they are for looks but would make the holes smaller, not good for big fingers.

They were originally made of nickel-plated brass, and actually rotate with your finger-tip when you dial. If Gary Goff is on here, maybe he will send us a photo of the set that is still on the original card that he has in one of his displays? I suspect they were to protect your finger-tips from injury from repetitive dialing.

Here are two models on the point-of-sale cards.

The first is the plastic version, like the ones on your set.

The second is the metal version.  Gary has his framed in oak, so it looks nicer. You can see it on his site:
