I've discovered that a product called "Scratch Away" from the motoring section of Poundland (a UK dollar-store chain) makes very good plastic polish.
At 7 oz for a pound (about $1.29) I wasn't expecting much but have found it better than Brasso or T-Cut for getting the final gloss on plastic (ABS) 'phones.
