How to Remove Kellogg Redbar Wall Phone from the Wall?

I just bought a Redbar wall phone on-line, but the phone is still attached to the wall, and she can't figure out how to open it to unscrew it from  the wall.
How do you open one of these?

The base is screwed to the wall from behind the shell, so you need to first remove the shell.  That is done by pulling the metal tab at the bottom of the phone outward (away from the wall) a bit and swinging the shell upward.
