Odd "ITT" Housing on ebay (???)

I bought this on ebay and much to my surprise when the end caps are  removed from handset the remaining handset is 2 pieces

Is this really ITT? It has no branding whatsoever.

I think it is a generic housing.
All the ITT 554's I have seen are branded and the handset is 1 piece and branded.
There were companies that made unmarked plastics for rebuilders.
