For reference: this style of mini-network is from AE styleline telephones. This is AE's version of a trimline. wiring diagrams are available.
As a side note, That AE set is a pretty pink color.

Jim...that’s what I thought but it had been touched up numerous places with pink....wait for it.....nail polish >:(

Apol, just spotted this is the for sale section - but following on re the pink shell - did you try a Chemical Sand? That would most likely have rescued it and brought the original colour back up nicely.
