Hey I bought a megger, little use to me, but it looks fantastic, so who cares if the radio works, you'll have years to tinker with it!

How many pages? I'd be glad to scan it into electronic form for you, though I have no place to host it.

Bill

I'll gladly host it at the Telephony Document Repository at http://sc.infc.info/

157 including the title page and contents pages, and not counting the cover.  It's soft cover.  PM me your address, I can stick it right back in the package it came in and slap an address label on it.

I noticed this the other day.

not sure why it isn't in my living room yet.

Radio guys, is there anything wrong that I should be worried about? what should I ask about it?

Ask them if all the parts are there and if it powers up.  If they don't know if it powers up, instruct them to NOT plug it in.  Turn the tuner knob all the way from one end to the other and check if you encounter more resistance at some point than others.  It should turn smoothly with the same resistance all the way.  Check to see if the veneer is intact.  If the exterior is as good as it appears to be in that picture, even if it didn't work, I would buy it.  My only nonfunctional antique:

Briny,

I have a somewhat similar 1929 radio (Stewart Warner).  I have not yet tried to make it work.

Here it is, all 150+ pages in jpg format.  Thanks to Bill in Arizona for going to the trouble to photograph all this.

I knew there was a reason I bought it.  I needed a straight edge and it was just the right size:
