I found this SC in a box of phones, I bought from a junk shop. I paid $35 for the box.
I took the phone apart cleaned the inside, sanded the shell and repainted it.
The phone works great, dials out fine, only problem is that it does not ring.
When I opened the phone there was a wiring and connections manual in it.
I followed the manual, all the connections are right.....I think.
I'm happy with the out come, I think it's a neat looking telephone.
Many of those were quipped with frequency ringers, so they will not ring.

Persido, another good looking restoration!
I have a couple of these that I hope to get to working on in the near future.
Larry, this has probably been covered in another thread, but is there a way to fool these phones into ringing?
Does the wiring diagram you used show a two or three conductor mounting cord?
If it's a three conductor cord, the ringer may need to be rewired inside the set or two of the conductors combined to make it ring (assuming a straight line ringer). Usually green and yellow are combined, but you should trace the ringer wiring to make sure.
You should see a path from L1 through the ringer coil and a capacitor (in either order) then to L2.
One of the telephones you really may fall in love to :-*
Look after if you have the 2 red straps on the diagram.
