From a CO in Warwick RI, a Western Electric board that was supposedly used for excluding non-essential telephone calls during an emergency. The owner wants to sell it.

Here's what I posted on the PEI Museum Facebook page about it:
I had to think for moment...Line Load Control was a way of blocking call initiation to non essential customers in an Emergency. I don't know all the ins and outs but possibly top priority customers such as police, ambulance, fire, doctors etc may be Class A, other business Class B and other residential Class C. Depending on the level of emergency they could block some or most non essential customers using this control box. In SxS offices I think the box would disable certain finder groups and customers had been graded into the appropriate finders at the time of assignment. Preventing call initiation didn't block any customer from receiving calls from callers who were still able to initiate a call.
There....sounds like I know what I am talking about doesn't it?
