Some of you that do not have a strong stomach may not want to read this, you have been warned! :-)

I am restoring a family heirloom 317 S wooden wall phone that has a "pony" receiver.  This phone was bought by my dad in 1959 or so and updated around that time for use by us kids as an upstairs extension phone.

Deal was, he gave a buddy the guts in exchange for the modernization. As I get into this project, I now find the 'modernized' receiver no longer works.  It turns out it was 'updated' by breaking off the magnets and removing the horn and diaphragm.  Now, since this "genius" had the room, in their place a new HC 3 receiver element was wired in.

In looking, it appears the broken magnet parts will come out by removing one screw.  All else is in good shape, so I am wondering if the receiver can be repaired to the way it was?  Are the parts available or does anyone know who might have?

I would appreciate any info anyone might have.
