WE 592 Speakerphone Set on eBay

Earlier today, I noticed this WE 592 set. I quickly added on my watch list, as these seem pretty uncommon, and I kind of wanted it. Sadly, other people have had the same thought, 5 days before the end of the listing it is up to $157.00

I'd say this would be a very interesting auction contest, if it's not too late. Being, that I don't think we have ever featured a 592 set.

today's 'guardian' features an archive of photographs of wacky british inventions - including this (decidedly un-british) early videophone incorporating a WE 592-type speakerphone...

... surely a mock-up -  the woman's image looks like it's glued-on.
