If I were you I would stick the E-1 on the metal phone and part out the '47.  Regardless of the lack of vents that will make one sweet 302.

I will most probably do that.  I might use the '47 base as a 202 subset.

I just removed the finger wheel from the "I 35" 4H dial and was a bit disappointed to see that the dial plate is dated "II 47".  I was hoping for a 1930s celluloid version.  Oh well, I still have the #2 dial on the way.

Larry, it sounds like overall that is a great deal!  The E-1 could go on the earlier metal bodied 302.  Nice find on that phone.
