This phone on ebay, does not look like an original, looks like it was a wooden base with german dial and handset added. Is this a home-made sort of thing? And pics for future reference.

Must be home made, I see nails and duct tape. But what's that shiny round thing, the bell/buzzer or a camera?

Looked like a camera to me as well implying the whole thing might be a prop to hide a camera. But if you re-focus your mind to think "chromed single gong ringer" it becomes apparent that it is a ringer. Nice that they include nails to nail it to your desk with.

Verdict: Home made.

Look like Siemens W28 handset (I'm looking for one).
A later Siemens Dial  W48?

A door bell

It could be a bell. This was just listed on eBay and it looks a lot like the mystery dome inside this red phone box. This one has a manufacturer's label attached but otherwise very similar.

Edwards Products took over Benjamin Electric's signaling line of products.

The bell requires a relay and 120V @60-cycles in order for it to operate from telephone ringing current.
