Title: Free for Postage -- Magnetic Paperclip Holder
Post by: ..... on August 04, 2016, 06:53:03 AM
Picked this up for 25 cents yesterday at a local thrift store. It is a Magnetic Paperclip Holder. I thought it was a stamp / envelope moistening device until I was told different. You fill the base with paper clips, rotate the drum towards you. It picks up the paper clips and brings them to the top. The drum is magnetic and there is also a magnet under the logo to hold them on the top of the holder.

I asked Dave Hunter what the acronym CTEA stood for. Here is his answer:

"Ok, I had to turn to Google to find out, but it was the Canadian Telecommunications Employees' Association (CTEA) The CTEA was an independent union certified in the 1940s by the Canada Labour Relations Board to represent employees of Bell Canada. It merged with the Communications, Energy and Paper Workers Union of Canada (CEP). Some time ago."

I am giving this away, so if anyone wants it, just ask. All you have to do is pay the postage to get it to you.
