Restoration of a Series 200 Red Handset

Hi everyone,

Some photos of the restoration of a Series 200 Red Handset.

This is a problem that occurs quite often.
The area surrounding the mouthpiece mounting boss fractures and breaks away from the main handset body.

In this case the broken part was not available so the missing area had to be recreated.
A mould was produced to surround the affected area and recreate the missing part.

After final preparation the mould was attached to the handset and the pigmented resin was poured into the mould.

Once the resin had cured and mould removed the area was refinished and polished.
