I've seen the military field phones, but this is the first time I've seen a Third Reich desk phone:

It's frightening to think that this phone was possibly made by slave laborers who were later murdered (Siemens ran their own death camp during the war).  I wouldn't want it if it were free.

$400 is a lot though.


I have a couple of old German coins that my grandfather gave me.  He was on the only ship to be sunk on D-day a they crossed the chanell (hit a mine).  Luckily he survived to continue the push into Europe.

It's been relisted several times already, all with the same starting bid.  When I first stumbled across it, it said the auction had ended but was relisted and gave the new listing number.  I followed each relisted number through about 5 or 6 relistings before I gave up and just did a search for "telephone" to find the current listing.
