Admit it.  One of you is going to find a way to get this.
Annoying new poster.

This explains to you all why my bakelites come in any colour as long as it's black.
"now this should take five minutes, where's me screwdriver went now..?"

But shipping is free withing the UK!

These tend to be quite expensive over here even in black.  I finally bought  (a black) one recently, and it is on its way from Washington.

I'd love to have an ivory phone, but they're usually too rich for my blood too.
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

Just completed this exact Siemens Tele 310 totally in Clear, complete with bellset. I'd never seen one in Ivory though. Also just picked up 10 of this model in the wall-version (in black).

Got a picture of the wall version Ray? Lots of parts now to put out some wall versions in clear or other colors.

Here ya go Terry.  Also a pretty cool Siemens dial. All but one of the phones had a #10 dial on it too! Not bad for $5.00 each ;-)

The GPO didnt want any "modern" wallphones back then as they were overloaded with old wall phones from takeouts as people converted to desk phones.  At least this is the story of the GEC Muraphone wall phone. They were made by GEC for export and use on private PABX and PAX systems only.

Does anyone know if the GPO used these or were they for private systems and export only?

Well.  It turns out there was one that was *not* too rich for my blood.

Can't wait to see if this is in as good a shape as the owner said.

Annoying new poster.
