I don't often go for wall phones, but this one is brown and French and it was cheap.

"french 1930s bakelite phone miltary ?. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class."

It's actually 40's as the capacitor is dated 1947.
All complete and original and with a buzzer fitted (most French phones of the period have an external bell).

I got it for £17.70 plus £5 postage.  I did make a cheeky offer of £20 early on and was turned down, but then was the only bidder at £17.70 (shame!).

Unusual features are the three contact receiver and the crafted piece of wood behind the dial blank (looks totally original).

Very nice. That will polish up beautifully.
I used Brasso on mine then Paste Polishing #5.
Thanks for posting, good to see.

That is a cute little phone. About $30.00 US delivered. I would of bought it. I like that it has a dial blank.
It is is a nice find.

Thanks Jim. It's certainly not a model I've seen before, and I was surprised to be the only bidder.

Mighty forward design for 1947.  Good find!
