Hi Guys,
I was hunting in Newport, Oregon with George Valenzuela and bagged this near mint quite shiny   1931 Northwest Bell after some serious negotiation. The photos don't do the sign justice as there is not the least discoloration to the porcelain. This is   is a transition from the 1921 to the 1939 Bell. Tom Vaughn had previously provided the attached photo of a display of these signs and my sign design can be found to the right. This is the first one of this type I've seen   in the usual hunting spots. Didn't  need much Evapo Rust with this baby . Will cover several exposed areas on the edges  with my first container of Renaissance Wax!

Very nice example of a tough to find sign. I think this was more of a move to generic (no operating company name) Bell System signs rather then a transition bell between the '21 and 39'. The bell itself on these signs appears basically the same as it did in 1921.
