Does anybody have a black hard-wire shell for a 1500/2500 desk set? Must be crack-free, but does not have to be new, does not matter what make it is.

If nobody has a black one, how about brown, orange, red, or yellow?

Unfortunately no one seems to have any. I have a brown one but I keep it, I use it in my living room. but you can join Daniel.B who is a member here. he could probably help you or, 'oldphoneworks' on the web . That's all I can do for you , Mike . Bonne chance .
I have some tan or beige ones if that helps?
It seems to me that it's a rarity in the BLACK, this shell, am I wrong?
Either that, or people with black Touch-Tone phones are still using them.

Are any hard-wired?

I would have to check to be sure but I am thinking they are modular.
Over the years I have seen very few hard wired black 2500's. I would guess that most black 2500 were used in business, where they would be upgraded.
I checked my stash and have no loose hardwired 2500 shells. You may know this already, but Mary at PhoneCo has NOS "mouseholes" They work on handset and station cord notched shell holes. I recently bought a few for a couple of phones with 1960's shells that were notched post production. JC
Wow! Always wondered if it was possible to make something like this! Thanks for the info.!
Mike
I dug our the cases. As I thought, all modular. It is yours if you want it.
Pic did not attach first time..
Here's a complete ITT non-modular 2500 on Ebay:

Though I suspect you were hoping to find something cheaper.
You would think they would be a lot more common, but Touch-Tone became popular about the same time that the modular sets came out.
Its not the price, its the fact that I have this phone that works with no shell.
