New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed a bit less than 5 days ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve ( thanks to a heads up from Fabius) and starting at $39.99 is a very nice Swedish-American nickle plated candlestick. It appears to be in very good condition. The seller provided a good array of external images. Since being listed, the auction has attracted 9 buyers placing 11 bids moving the phone up to $130 and is currently the #1 most watched telephone on eBay. There is an upside. But how much is the question so once again, who best knows what these will sell for when the auction ends?

IMPORTANT NOTE: A very short auction contest so get your guesses in right away.

Since the auction ends early morning on Wednesday, about 6 AM,

GUESSES WILL BE ALLOWED UP UNTIL MIDNIGHT PST ON
TUESDAY, JANUARY 3RD,  ( 6 HOURS BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS )

NOTE:We will use a $5 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest.

The seller listed it as an "Antique Swedish-American Telephone Co. Candlestick Phone, Nickel Plated" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " and with the auction listing description saying very simply and to the point,  "Highly desirable and rare nickel-plated candlestick telephone made by the Swedish-American Telephone Company, very early in the 1900s.  Patents on the phone are dated 1899 and 1901.  Phone is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos."
