Title: have you ever done this? (66 blocks for cross connect and special services)
Post by: Babybearjs on May 06, 2019, 01:45:13 PM
;D well, I did it... I now have 3 6 X 12 66 blocks for cross connect and special services. has anyone used these mounts like this before? I picked them up from www.phoneman.com and discovered they can be used like this. on the top and bottom though, you have to file down the middle position on one side so you can mount the bracket flush with the edge. daisey-chaining these works really nice!

As soon as I saw world's best, I knew it was a sandman off shoot.
I have seen those brackets, but never used them. Just the blocks for inter Connect like joining two systems in separate buildings. Things like that.

the brackets have 6 holes. I tapped them out to 8-32 and then assembled the unit. kind of nice that they can be linked together like this... gonna work great for the doorbell circuit and other features I'm planning in... I've got a GE security system that I can run off the 10 volt circuit... man this is coming together real nice!

Very good. Planning is key to a successful design.
I'm interested to see it finished.
