Imperial questions

I have been looking at these. Shiny. 
But I have seen variations on a theme...

Gold or Silver, did these only come with Ivory handsets?
Have also seen black handsets on these - am guessing the Ivory handset must have been replaced?
Were the Ivory handsets painted Ivory?
Always with a clear fingerwheel, never metal?
What should be underneath, leather/suede? What colour?

Handsets uasually paintetd,sometimes  are solid ivory. The bottom cover is a naugahide type material not leather. plastic fingerwhel on most. Uasually gold finish .You can turn some gold sets silver by removing a coating
