this phone is not part of my collection and it is not even my phone. it belongs to my parents.however it played a very big part of why I became a collector in the first place. my parents bought it from the local"pickers"store.long story short once I saw this phone I did not realize that I was hooked on vintage phones. this phone however put me in mind of when I was growing up and my parents had a 554.suddenly I started to crave a 554. this before I even had a computer and access to ebay.i was staying at there while house sitting for them I used their computer and then I started watching youtube videos, on 500s and 554s mostly. that even intensified my craving for vintage phones. I have posted before about my black 554 and that can be seen in my collection, once I was given that phone,i still did not realize my addiction. anyway 22phones and 1 and a half years later I am happily addicted. I owe it all to this countyline wooden wall phone.

does any one now the history of this type of phone?

it is the same as the one in your photo except the one in my topic has the rotary dial and I was once into the guts of the one that is actually my parents phone and I saw a 1980 something date on it which leads me to believe that it is a reproduction :(, it also has a plastic finger wheel on it.

Whoa!  Look closer!

The one in the photo above has several obvious differences from the WE Country Junction.

There were several similar models made by other companies.

There's one of these on ebay now:
