I have a dial face here that came from an all matching 1953 500, It's double injection molded.
It's marked EMCo. That's a licensed manufacturer isn't it and not original WE?
When did the single injection molded dial faces stop being produced in favor of the double injection molded face.

Dan: I have a two color dial face with the same mark but no more information about it: http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=23271.msg233509#msg233509. thanks jc
I beleive earlier AE dial faces have the same mark
I think that dial mark was used by re-builders. I don't think they were ever used on new phones.
I have a foggy memory of a discussion either here or on the club lists regarding that.

Strange that very little exists about them.
I Googled for about 15 minutes and found nothing.
Someone mentioned Shalamar, and now I can't find who posted it ?
Anyhow,. I Googled it and found nothing.

Shellamar was mentioned in a post . It was from Jim Stettler.

I have seen that mold mark on colored WE 500 bezels that are C-Stock. Original WE bezels do not seem to have that company logo.
Interesting, I thought WE made ALL their own parts...

I have clear AE modular handsets cords that were made for WE. It said on the box, and the shipping label matched.
Never say never when talking about the Bell System.
