Title: There was a crooked house . . .
Post by: TelePlay on September 18, 2022, 04:22:41 PM
If you lived in this house, and it is occupied as is and has been as is for many years, would you block up your bed to level it, put side rails on your bed or sleep in a hammock?

Not uncommon in my region as a consequence of underground coal mining. Some owners got compensation and learned to live with it, some houses were lifted, even full brick ones. Most were demolished and rebuilt meanwhile, like the one on the left in the picture. That makes sense nowadays, as the lowering comes to an end after mining was discontinued.

(found on an architect's association (https://www.raiv.de/category/veranstaltungen-2018/) site)
