Need I say More?

TelePlay

They have quite a few phones for sale and prices seem high but reasonable (if fully restored).

Is this a scam site? Don't know. Is it a reputable seller? Don't know.

ISTR researching a company in California a few years ago that was a store front packed with stuff nicely displayed. They would need a warehouse somewhere to hold everything they have listed.

Don't know what their business model is, or how they get their inventory. They are located at

American Collectibles
965 North Main Street
Orange, CA 92867
310-606-0300

if anyone wants to explore this seller, or maybe someone else knows more about them.

Here is a bit from their site link above.

I've been to his shop in California when I lived only a few miles away from it, and its full of overly restored almost fantasy antiques of many kinds. Paint jobs were thick and poorly done seen up close and everything was over priced even back then in the 90's. It was more or less a store for tourists and or those who don't know better not collectors. Many things were restored by any means necessary and not necessarily using original or even the proper parts to do so.

Overpriced, over restored.

Descriptions a little unusual too.  'doubleisland phone', 'phone-raised'.

How about this
'Automatic Electric Chrome Round Base Model #202 Circa 1930'

Or a
'Western Electric Model 201 Round Base Brass Circa 1930'

Or a phone by Erickson?

Screenshots attached.

I think they need to read up a little.
:-\

NB: their site went down twice while I was looking at it.
