My guess would be a Dictophone with the wrong handset on sit, just a guess...Doug

I think that you are correct.  I thought I recognized that mount...I sold a couple Dictograph intercoms for a friend a few months ago, and one of them had that receiver mount on it!

The photo below is of the Dictograph Telematic Intercom that is now at Dave's Museum in PEI.
