That finger wheel, with the little lever below the wheel is a bear to get on and off.  I found getting it off is easier than getting it back in place.

Yes, those two-part latching mounts are a pain. Always easier to remove than to install, if one actually knows the workings of the mechanism. 1951 was the last year they used them, being replaced with those that had a pinhole in the finger wheel for pushing down another type of latch.

The red lettering for key telephones started with "A" for each set in an installation which matched the designation in the installation work sheets.  Poplar1 showed some examples of this somewhere here on the forum when someone posted a worksheet they found.
