This phone is an easy salvage, new dial and bezel and it's good to go.  Seller did a nice cleanup job eh?

I was thinking the same thing, it functions (as a phone) and is fully reversible, unlike those hideous phone lamps.  If I were to buy it, (I won't, shipping is too much as with most phones on ebay) I would ask if he still had the dial, but not like those are hard to find.
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

I wonder what the purpose of leaving the set cord on it is? Maybe the clock is powered by 48 VDC! :)  Or incoming ringing voltage could charge a hidden battery to run the clock.

Cos it's been wired up as a dialless phone perhaps? :D

Says so in the description...  :P

Though I guess where the seller comes from, they haven't got wristwatches, that's how I find out the time a call came through... :D

"The classic twin bell ring phone, genuine old bt phone but with hours and hours of work to make it truly spectacular!!!! It has over 3000 crystals all added by hand... In good working order and a utterly bling tastic xxxx"

Only £80, probably covers the cost of the crystals...

"now this should take five minutes, where's me screwdriver went now..?"

Yes, it's lovely -- Almost as nice as Maureen's Picturephone.  Gee, I don't think I can afford both.  Hmmm, which would I really like to have?

One of them is going to be more affordable than the other. Your Choice...

Could be a new shiny prop for the Crystal Maze.... :D

Does make me wonder about the hookswitch though, given they've made the case slightly thicker with their shiny beads and glue, dos the hookswitch still operate? ???

Waste of a good 746R if you ask me... :-\
