I would love to have one of these British phones but they don't always have the ringer box available.  Of course, those are the most affordable phones.  Is there a substitute vintage model subset that would work?  I have a WE684BA subset with nothing to use it with.

Is there anything that I should look for in ebay adds when considering a particular phone?

Tele 232  has its induction coil inside the telephone.  All that is required in the bellset is the bell (and a ringing capacitor if you want the phone and bell to work on a 2-wire line and are not using the capacitor in the UK master socket)

If it's the very similar slightly earlier Tele 162, although that has an induction coil inside the phone, it needs an anti-side tone indction coil (ASTIC) in the bellset)

There is a Bell Set 50C , and a BT 50E loud extension bell, on ebay UK at the moment, and several other bells that could be used.
