On The WE DIals The mounting tabs get bent over time. You can straighten them but its not easy to get them perfect. It is not the plasrtic fingerwheel itself.

I must say however that Much like some of the European phones I have seen the dial on the  Ericsson  Mexico models does stay straighter but on my black unit that I use all the time the screw comes loose often. It has the big hurkin' screw in the middle with only the 2 holes to tighten it, requiring a special tool to get it tight.
