New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed a little less than a day ago in a 10 day auction with no reserve (with thanks to Kenton K for a heads up on the listing ) starting at $9.99 is a very nice WE 205 208 Key Set in basic black with original line cord. The seller provided a good array of external in internal photos. Within the first 5 hours of the listing, the phone attracted 5 buyers placing 5 bids driving the price up to $213.50. Quite the activity in less than a day. The question is how much upside is left, I'm sure it will go higher so, the question is, who best knows what this item will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE: we will use a $5 gap rule between guesses again to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest.

The seller listed it as an "Rare Antique Western Electric 205 Cradle Telephone Multi- Line Key Set" with the item condition as "used" and " - - - " and with the auction listing description saying "Up for auction tonight is an Estate fresh Original Unusual Rare Antique Western Electric 205, Cradle Telephone Multi- Line Key Set.  It signed on the back E5, looks to be in nice condition, nice original paint.  The dial turns freely and returns properly.  The 1 and 2 buttons press down and pop back up, the H button presses down but has to be manually pulled up, the L button is pushed down and the last button B pushes down and just goes back up.  I have no clue if the telephone works, I have pictured the insides.  The handset has no chips or cracks,  Cool Piece!"

It's actually a 208 set for use with 15A or 23A key equipments. Note the buttons are 1, 2, H, L and B.
The 205, used with a 750A PBX, has 1, 2, 3, H and L.
