dial dunce - a #6 Dial primer

I don't know my dials, I admit it. What's the difference between, say, all of the different types of #6 dials (6s, 6e, etc.)? I've seen lot of different letters that follow the 6. And which would have been standard on a 5302?

Correct me if I'm wrong guys but wasn't the 6E a switchboard dial?

That's what I understood from Chuck. But looking online, it seems like there are many more variations, is that so?

there are but I do not know the last letter let me go check my 5302 and see what type of dial are in them I am thinking a 6H wich what i belive to be standard. Some of the other fellas will chime in any minute.
