This has to be one of the granddaddies of all home/business answering machines!  ??? ::)

I used to watch The Rockford Files in the 1970's as a kid.  That Jim Rockford has touchtone phones and an answering machine.  Man that was living!  I was gonna have me an answering machine when I grew up, yes sir.

Of course now I'm often tempted to throw the answering machine away.

My first answering machine was an old record a phone in a wood grain finish. back in the early 80's

It had the old cassette tape for recording . good times :)

I still watch and love the Rockford Files.  I was always bummed that he had touch tones though.  I tried awhile back to buy a reel-to reel answering machine that came with a pink 500 on eBay some time back.  I thought that would have been a neat toy to have.
